Paul L. Casey, P.E.

Principal Engineer           

 

Mr. Casey has been practicing environmental engineering for 27 years.  He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Montana.  His experience includes environmental engineering in the management of industrial construction, facility operation, and hazardous waste projects.  His specific expertise includes CERCLA RI /FS Investigations, Process/Final Design of Wastewater/Ground Water Treatment Systems, Construction Management and Operation of Waste Treatment Facilities including soil solidification processes, Waste Management, Facility Permitting and Auditing, and Project Management.

 

Mr. Casey's past and present projects include being designated Environmental Program Manager for the following projects: relocation of Elitch Gardens to a 68-acre site in downtown Denver, the construction of the New Pepsi Center Arena, the Colorado's Ocean Journey Aquarium also in Denver, the closure of the Robinson Brick Plant and its conversion to a Home Depot store for Home Depot U.S.A in Denver, Gold Hill Redevelopment site in Colorado Springs, and the Prairie Gateway Development in Commerce City.  Mr. Casey is also the Environmental Project Manager for the redevelopment of the former Stapleton International Airport for Forest City.  This is the largest urban redevelopment project in the United States.  Duties relating to these projects include waste management and site restoration of the subject properties, which have had significant historic industrial operations within the property boundaries.  Most of these remedial activities have been or are being performed within the context of a fast track construction schedule for the planned facility and include the characterization, manifesting, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and industrial waste generated at the site during construction and providing the appropriate cost-effective solutions to site remediation during construction.


                                                             

Terry O. McGowan, P.G.               

Associate / Sr. Hydrogeologist / Geologist

 

Mr. McGowan has over 28 years of professional experience in hydrogeology and geology.  His experience includes site characterization; design and implementation of surface water, groundwater, and stormwater monitoring programs; groundwater assessment and remediation; hazardous and solid waste management; Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments; project specific health and safety issues; and regulatory compliance.  He has considerable experience in project negotiations with city, county, state, and federal regulatory personnel.  He has managed numerous site remediation and closure efforts inclusive of site assessment, remedial planning, regulatory negotiations, and plan implementation.  Mr. McGowan is a Registered Professional Geologist in Wisconsin and Wyoming.


 

Michael P. Riendeau, M.S.

Project Manager/Engineer

 

Mr. Riendeau is a project manager/engineer responsible for the day-to-day implementation of Materials Management Plans for several CRI Brownfield redevelopment projects.  He has also worked on a number of environmental projects requiring the planning, execution, and evaluation of Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments and the preparation of documents related to the management of soil disturbance activities for large commercial development sites.  Mr. Riendeau is also an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)- and State of Colorado-certified Asbestos Building Inspector, Air Monitoring Specialist, Supervisor, and Management Planner.  Mr. Riendeau has 20 years of experience in the management of environmental monitoring and remediation projects, hazardous waste management projects, and research and development projects and was one of the key technical lead personnel in the closure of the Rocky Flats Technology Site near Golden, Colorado.  As a project manager he helped close the site by demonstrating compliance with disposal site waste acceptance criteria and Department of Transportation regulations for almost 15,000 legacy waste packages contaminated with radioactive material and other hazardous substances.  Mr. Riendeau was also involved with the closure of England Air Force Base in Alexandria, Louisiana through the investigation, remediation, and long-term monitoring of various environmentally impacted sites on the closed base.  With extensive experience managing projects and personnel, and working with State and Federal regulatory agencies, Mr. Riendeau has a track record for successfully completing projects on schedule and under budget.
